Sevastopol resident to face charges for sexual crimes against underage stepdaughter

The investigation of a criminal case against a 39-year-old resident of Sevastopol, accused of sexual crimes taking advantage of the victim’s helpless state, has been completed.
It was established that from September 2021 to November 2023, the man, living in the Balaklava district together with a woman and her children, systematically committed violent sexual acts against a minor girl. During the commission of one of these crimes, the defendant was caught by the girl’s mother, who contacted law enforcement agencies– the Investigative Committee reported.
Investigators, in cooperation with police officers, also established other facts of illegal actions against the victim, which she hid from her loved ones, fearing threats from her stepfather.
The defendant was taken into custody. Sufficient evidence was collected. The investigation of the criminal case was completed.
