Sevastopol residents can join the All-Russian event “Big Ethnographic Dictation”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of National Unity Day on November 1, the annual All-Russian educational campaign “Great Ethnographic Dictation” starts throughout the country.
Residents of Russia, as well as foreign countries, who speak Russian, English or Spanish, will be able to evaluate their knowledge in the field of history, culture and traditions of the peoples living in our country.
A large ethnographic dictation will be held in offline and online formats (on the website www.miretno.ru) in the form of testing. You are given 45 minutes to complete the dictation. The maximum score for a dictation is 100. A certificate indicating the points scored will be sent to the participant’s email.
First Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Policy Maria Vechera:
An interesting difference in holding the event this year is that for the first time everyone can take part in developing the questions. To do this, the “Suggest a question” tab appeared on the official website of the campaign. The most interesting and original questions will be included in the federal part of the dictation, and their authors will receive memorable prizes.
The ethnographic dictation allows for the participation of teenagers under 16 years of age — they answer only 20 federal questions and 30 questions for participants over 16 years of age. They will include an additional 10 questions from each subject.
According to Maria Vechera, the regional part of the issues in Sevastopol was formed with the help of historians, ethnographers and specialists in this field:
Sevastopol residents will be able to take part in the action, like all residents of our country, in two ways. The simplest and most convenient way is to answer the questions on the dictation website from November 1 to November 8. For those who wish to participate in person, we have prepared a site at the city national cultural center. Here you can answer questions in printed form.
The doors of the Sevastopol National Cultural Center will be open to everyone on November 2 from 10:00 to 14:00 at the address: st. Bolshaya Morskaya, 38.
In addition, on the day the action starts, November 1, the Department of Internal Policy will organize a number of thematic events for SevSU students: an excursion to the “35th Coastal Battery”, a screening of a documentary about the history of Sevastopol, and after that the children will write a dictation. Souvenirs are provided for the most erudite and active.
Every year, interest in the “Great Ethnographic Dictation” is growing. In Sevastopol last year, more than 15.5 thousand participants took part in the action.
