Sevastopol residents collected more than 105 tons of crops during public works

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Sevastopol Employment Center completed the season of public works, during which city residents collected more than 105 tons of fruit in the gardens of the SVZ-AGRO enterprise, which is 15 tons more than last year. During the period from May to September, participants in public works, including unemployed citizens, pensioners, students on vacation, citizens who wanted to earn extra money and employment service employees, collected more than two tons of cherries and over 103 tons of grapes. To make the process of participating in public works as convenient as possible, the employment center provided a free bus that transported workers to and from the harvest site.

Community service is not just temporary work, but a socially significant initiative that helps not only workers, but the entire city. You can apply for participation online through the “Work in Russia” portal or in person at the employment center. Next year, public works will be carried out again, and we invite everyone to join— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the department for providing employment services to employers, Mikhail Yashin.

Harvesting work not only helped local farmers cope with the task during the season, but also allowed participants to receive a stable income.

Let us remind you that all participants in public works receive wages for the work performed. The amount of payment for a full month of work is not less than the minimum wage established in Sevastopol. Officially registered unemployed, in addition to wages, receive additional financial assistance in the amount of 3 thousand rubles, and also continue to receive unemployment benefits.
