Sevastopol residents gave scammers more than 2.9 million rubles

The 57-year-old local resident was called an unknown, who called the FSB investigator. The attacker convinced the man that his bank account was in danger of hacking and requires urgent protection. Gending a panic, the victim of two transfers transferred 769 thousand rubles to the indicated details, after which the connection with the imaginary employee stopped. An even larger amount was stolen from a 72-year-old pensioner. Two swindlers immediately came to her: one introduced himself as an FSB officer, the second — an employee of Roskomnadzor. The criminals convinced the elderly woman for a long time of the need to transfer money to protect them. As a result, completing a pensioner through an ATM transferred 2 million 205 thousand rubles to attackers,-the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol said.
