Sevastopol residents re-presented a gastronomic show at the exhibition-forum “Russia”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On January 8, Sevastopol culinary specialists held a gastronomic show at the “House of Russian Cuisine” at VDNKh. The presentation of the Black Sea lunch took place as part of the Day of Sevastopol, which is currently taking place at the exhibition-forum “Russia”.
Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, together with the author and head of the “Gastronomic Map of Russia” project Ekaterina Shapovalova, the organizer and general producer of the Sevastopol gastronomic festival “Crimea on a Plate” Denis Shtukaturov and the chef of the Okroshka restaurant Pyotr Matveev took part in preparing the main dish of the gastronomic program — “Sol Sisol.”
This dish was prepared at the Kist Hotel — the most fashionable, most popular place in pre-revolutionary Sevastopol, where, as they say, even members of the imperial family stayed. Today our restaurateurs managed to recreate a historical recipe especially for guests of the exhibition-forum “Russia”, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The recipe for “Salt Sisol” includes sole or flounder fillet, some dates, a small apple, orange and spices. Guests of the gastronomic show were also presented with a salad with Black Sea horse mackerel and a dessert with persimmon and lavender cream.
The gastronomic holiday was accompanied by a wine tasting from the participants of the “Terroir Sevastopol” project: the city’s winemakers presented their masterpieces to the guests of the “Russia” exhibition and forum.
