Meeting-concert on Nakhimov Square.
Today, agreements were signed on the admission of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia. Sevastopol residents gathered on Nakhimov Square to support the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation.
For residents of the Hero City, a broadcast of the speech of the President of Russia was organized on the main square. In his speech, Vladimir Putin stressed that the formation of four new regions in Russia is the will of millions of people, it is an inalienable right of people, which is based on historical unity.
The choice of millions of residents in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions is our common destiny and a thousand-year history. People passed on this spiritual connection to their children and grandchildren. Despite all the trials, they carried through the years love for Russia. And no one can destroy this feeling in us , — said Vladimir Putin.
Young people and the older generation of Sevastopol people united on Nakhimov Square to show that the Hero City knows what it means to return to their homeland.
An incredible sense of pride for colleagues, for the country, for our common future. Crimea and Sevastopol returned to Russia 8.5 years ago. And today people know for sure that they made the right choice! I am sure that new regions of our country, taking into account our experience, will experience dynamic development and prosperity! Together we will definitely cope with everything , — said the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
