Sevastopol school No. 4 named after A.N. Kesaev is being overhauled
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, held a visiting working meeting at school No. 4 named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.N. Kesaeva. The meeting was attended by State Duma deputy Tatyana Lobach, representatives of the Sevastopol government, school management, as well as employees of the contractor company.
School No. 4 is one of the largest in Sevastopol, with more than 900 children studying here. It was built in 1976, there was no major renovation, and the buildings fell into disrepair over time. This year, work began — thanks to the presidential program for the overhaul of schools, said Mikhail Razvozhaev.
It is one of the largest schools in the city and the largest where renovations began this year. Now the facade work is almost completed, builders are working on the interior decoration. We will completely replace furniture and equipment in the institution. After the renovation, all conditions for comfortable study will be created here, including for teaching new subjects: workshops will be equipped for labor lessons, and a hundred-meter shooting range will be equipped for the basics of security and defense of the Motherland. At the same time, educational institutions that do not have such space will be able to use the capabilities of the 4th school, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the city.
The governor also noted that the school administration works closely with representatives of the contractor and the parent committee.
I really like the approach of the school director: he approached all issues in a very businesslike manner and knows the project down to the millimeter, works with the parent committee and contractors, trying to create the most convenient conditions for children and teachers. Today I was personally convinced that everything was carefully thought out — from the design to the functionality of the premises,” Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized.
In turn, school director Vyacheslav Bely noted that design decisions were made jointly with the parent committee.
We developed a design project, invited parents and the school’s parent committee — the parents approved the layouts, and now the contractor is decorating the school exactly as we decided together. The floors will be made of porcelain stoneware, and the entire school will have decorative finishes. I am sure both parents and children will like the result, — says the school director.
In total, about 900 million rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets for the implementation of the project — major repairs of all buildings, supply of new furniture and equipment and landscaping of the territory.
Sevastopol has a very successful experience in overhauling schools under the presidential program. School No. 4 is one of the largest; it is located in a densely populated area. During the renovation, the children were transferred to other schools. Now we see that the work is progressing at a good pace — which means that soon children and teachers will return to the already updated school, — emphasizes State Duma deputy Tatyana Lobach.
The first stage of work, associated with the overhaul of all buildings and the main part of the improvement of the territory, will be completed by December of this year. At the beginning of 2025, children will be able to return to the already updated classrooms and begin classes. The second stage of improvement will begin in the summer of 2025 — this is due to the need to replace the heating main, which runs under the sports ground. During the second stage, the school stadium will be improved.
