Sevastopol schoolchildren were awarded passports on Russia Day

The governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev on the day of Russia handed passports to 13 Sevastopol schoolchildren. The ceremony in the framework of the action «We are citizens of Russia!» took place at the headquarters of public support.

Today we gathered here for a very important and symbolic occasion: in order to give you the most important document on Russia’s Day. Now you are officially, with the fullness of rights and obligations, — citizens of Russia. The most important duty, of course, is to do everything so that our homeland becomes more beautiful, stronger. So that each of you feels comfortable here and build your personal future, which will be a contribution to our common future of our country. It is especially symbolic that you take this important step here in our heroic Sevastopol, a city where each stone breathes with history and feat. Let today be remembered for a lifetime. Happy holiday! — the governor turned to schoolchildren.

The participants in the ceremony made a solemn promise for the loyalty of the Russian Federation and together sang the hymns of Russia and Sevastopol.

The action «We are citizens of Russia!» The regional branch of the all-Russian public-state movement of children and youth «Movement of the first» of the city of Sevastopol together with the Government of Sevastopol and the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Sevastopol.

The presentation of passports is dedicated to memorable and festive dates. Today’s action became the sixth in a row this year: earlier Sevastopol schoolchildren received passports on the day of the discoverers, the day of the defender of the Fatherland, the day of the reunion of Sevastopol with Russia, the day of astronautics and the International Day of Protection of Children. Six more shares will take place in the second half of the year.

Representatives of the regional branch of the “Movement of the First” will contact future participants and will give detailed information.
