Sevastopol schools will talk about Russia's achievements

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol schools will conduct weekly classes every Thursday on the “Russia – My Horizons” program. It will be implemented within the framework of the career guidance minimum, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Starting this week and every Thursday, a lesson “Russia is my horizons” will be held for Sevastopol schoolchildren, where children will be able to discover interesting facts about our country, record values, and even try themselves in the role of different specialists in modeling professional tests— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the regional operator of the “Ticket to the Future” project, Olga Anistratenko.

The lessons are designed for students in grades 6–11, each of them is adapted to the age of the student. At 34 career guidance classes, children will learn about Russia’s achievements in all areas of economic development: industry, agriculture, information technology, innovation and the development of science, engineering and other areas.

Students will also receive detailed information about the modern labor market, promising professions and specialties, and skills that will help them become sought-after specialists.says Olga Anistratenko.

During the school year, Sevastopol schoolchildren will gradually study all areas, understand their abilities, test professions and, perhaps, determine the one that will become their life’s work in the future.

According to the registrar, the course “Russia — my horizons” will be held at all levels of the “Professional Minimum” — basic, basic and advanced, including for participants in the “Ticket to the Future” project, on the basis of which a unified model of career guidance is being implemented.

Many people decide on a profession while still in school. For example, when I was an 8th grade student, I knew for sure that I wanted to be a teacher. As the director of the Sevastopol Polytechnic Lyceum, I really hope that thanks to these classes, our children will be able to choose the direction of their future activities step by step. The classes are really structured in such a way as to attract children of all ages.,” notes the director of the polytechnic lyceum, Tatyana Varchenko.

All schools in the city, even private educational institutions, take part in the “Russia – My Horizons” program. The total coverage is over 20 thousand students.

Thanks to these classes, we understand that career guidance in the region is reaching a new level. Every student will now get acquainted with professions and opportunities for self-realizationsays 6th grade class teacher Svetlana Marusanova.

Calendar and thematic planning of the course of classes “Russia — My Horizons” and the work program of the course of extracurricular activities “Ticket to the Future”, as well as materials for classes are available on the information resource of the “Ticket to the Future” project: profmin.bvbinfo.ru.

Let us remind you that the Center for Advanced Professional Training of Sevastopol began training those responsible for the implementation of the “Professional Minimum” and class teachers under the additional training program “Organizational and methodological foundations for the implementation of a unified model of career guidance in general education organizations.”
