Sevastopol taekwondo player won a gold medal at the international tournament «Russia Open 2022»

In the Moscow region, the international taekwondo competition «Russia Open 2022» was completed, in which hundreds of the strongest athletes from countries participated : Russia, Belarus, Serbia, India, Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Hong Kong, Mali. Sevastopol at these competitions was represented for the first time by four fighters under the guidance of coaches Dmitry Glavatsky and Grigory Sevastyanov.

As a result of tense fights, Elisey Tarasov climbed to the highest step of the podium and brought the gold medal to the national team of Sevastopol, completing all the fights in 2 rounds. Mikhail Ogorodov, Nikolai Rozhok and Safiya Jafarova stopped a step away from the medal and took 5th places. All fighters are members of the sports school No. 7 and the Hvarang club , the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev told the sports news.
