Sevastopol Technopark «IT PARK RUS» opened its doors to students of non-technical fields

The IT PARK RUS technopark in Sevastopol organized an excursion for 4th year students of the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, a branch of the Institute of Economics and Law. Students majoring in “Management” and “Economics” got acquainted with the history of one of the tallest buildings in the city, which became a significant center of attraction for the IT community of the region and the whole country.
During the excursion, students visited the working areas of the Technopark, including coworking spaces, IT cafes, a gym, a basketball court and a unique IT brewery. They were also able to get acquainted with Russia’s first children’s educational center for space education, IT-cube.Gagarin.
Excursions around our Technopark are held regularly; it is especially pleasant to see students and schoolchildren among our guests. Young people show a keen interest in the development of the IT industry and the history of our city. Many of them are connected to him through their parents, who worked at the Musson design bureau back in the Soviet years. Today Technopark offers unique opportunities for professional growth, such as free educational programs and developed infrastructure for work and leisure, – noted the General Director of IT PARK RUS Vladislav Meshcheryakov.
The excursion ended with a presentation of the IT Garage startup studio, conducted by General Director Maria Tretyakova. The students were told about the possibilities of launching their own projects and their further development within the Technopark. In addition, the excursion participants got acquainted with successful projects that have already been implemented under the auspices of IT Garage.
This was our first visit to such a large-scale IT cluster. We were amazed at how quickly and effectively the previously empty space was transformed into a center of advanced technology. The technopark not only supports startups and innovative projects, it also plays an important role in the formation of human resources in Sevastopol. To date, over 600 jobs have been created here, and the prospects for further expansion are very encouraging,” Valery Ilchenko, associate professor of the Department of Economics and Management at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, notes with his impressions.
