Sevastopol: the intersection between POR, Vakulenchuka Street and Fiolentovskoe Highway has been opened to traffic
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Journalists «Sevastopol newspaper» note: however, there are no traffic lights at the junction yet, so turning left is prohibited for vehicles coming from the direction of the campus:
On October 11, the blocks that had been blocking the passage since June 1 were removed, and traffic began to move along the updated junction. The road here has become twice as wide: two lanes in each direction. In the near future, the updated intersection will be equipped with traffic lights, a pedestrian crossing will be organized in the beam, to which a sidewalk has already been laid along one of the sides of the road on Vakulenchuka Street.
But so far the traffic lights have not even begun to be installed, and the left turn when driving from the Student Town is blocked. You can enter the intersection only from October Revolution Avenue. Vice-Governor of Sevastopol Pavel Ieno warned about this in his telegram channel, announcing the opening of the interchange.
Sevavtodor began reconstruction of this intersection in April. The complete interchange with the missing acceleration lanes in Streletskaya Balka should be completed by the end of 2024.
The reconstruction is being carried out within the framework of the national project “Safe Quality Roads”.
