On the third day of the World Youth Festival, the foreign delegation met with Sevastopol State University and also visited the World of Cultures festival, during which more than a hundred representatives of different nationalities shared their traditions and together celebrated the beginning of Maslenitsa week.
At Sevastopol State University, participants of the regional WFM program visited the research laboratories “Robotics and intelligent control systems”, “Digital technologies in historical and archaeological research” and “Bioresource potential of the coastal territory”.
After excursions from university staff, participants joined the “World of Cultures” festival, where in the Russian cuisine courtyard they were able to learn about Maslenitsa, play “Rucheyok” and taste various types of pancakes. In addition, each participant could choose a master class to their liking: painting a wooden spoon or making a small straw doll. In the “Multinational World” courtyard, participants got acquainted with the traditions and customs of representatives of different nationalities who live in Russia and Sevastopol, and also tasted their national dishes. Uniting young people in the format of open dialogue, free communication and unconditional respect for differences in languages, cultures, customs and traditions is the main idea of the World Youth Festival and the third day of the regional program in Sevastopol. Today, our foreign guests not only met the people of Sevastopol, but were also able to talk about their home cities and countries, which is, of course, important for the implementation of joint ideas that the guys have already had– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the Sevastopol Youth Affairs Department Marina Slonchenko.
In the afternoon, foreign participants visited the innovative research vessel «Pioneer-M», as well as the first physical center in Sevastopol, where those wishing to pass the GTO standards, tested VR glasses, and fought in virtual battles with each other on game consoles and computers and worked out on the gym.
