Sevastopol volunteers completed the shift of the humanitarian mission in Rostov-on-Don and LPR
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Sevastopol team of the Youth Wing of the Popular Front completed its work in Rostov-on-Don and the Lugansk People’s Republic. For two weeks, 10 volunteers worked at the humanitarian warehouse “Everything for Victory!” and provided assistance to local residents.
Every day, aid from all over the country arrives at the Rostov humanitarian warehouse of the Popular Front for residents of new regions and soldiers of the Northern Military District. Our task was to receive incoming cargo, sort, assemble and send it to the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. In two weeks, we sorted and helped send 1,800 food and hygiene kits, unloaded and loaded three KAMAZ trucks with food, clothes and toys for the children of liberated Avdiivka. We also went through about 125 thousand flowers that women of Donbass and Novorossia received by March 8, — said the coordinator of the Youth wing of the Popular Front in Sevastopol, Vladislav Romushin.
For several days, Sevastopol volunteers worked in the Lugansk People’s Republic. In the capital of the region, the guys cleaned up the territory of an abandoned improvised amphitheater near school No. 55 named after K.K. Rokossovsky. This is the first stage in the reconstruction of a cultural site.
As residents of Lugansk say, the abandoned amphitheater used to be a place of attraction for schoolchildren. They organized concerts, sang songs, read poetry. Now, instead of a street scene, there is a vacant lot filled with garbage.
Members of the team of the Youth Wing of the Popular Front cleared the territory of the amphitheater — they removed and removed garbage, leaves and branches, and weeds.
Sevastopol volunteers also provided targeted assistance to 78-year-old Lugansk resident Larisa Sukhina. The woman lives alone; due to her age, it is not easy for her to cope with household chores. Volunteers tidied up the surrounding area and the site — they collected and took away household garbage and unnecessary utensils, cut weeds and sawed down trees.
In addition to work, the team went on an excursion around Lugansk. The children visited the Shchors children’s park, Vladimir Dahl Lugansk State University, drove through the city center and the Marika intersection, where eight residents died in 2014. We also visited the Square named after the heroes of the Young Guard and saw the monument to the “Toiler of Luhansk region”.
