Sevastopol volunteers — participants in the World Youth Festival
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Volunteers of the World Youth Festival 2024 went to the Sirius educational center in Sochi. 20 volunteers from Sevastopol will take part in the festival.
The volunteer delegation to the WFW includes 20 Sevastopol volunteers: guys who have extensive experience in volunteer activities. Our volunteers will work at the festival from February 26 to March 9, where they will organize catering, support educational and cultural sites, transport logistics and linguistic services. I sincerely believe that our guys will be able to adequately represent Sevastopol and gain new experience at the World Youth Festival– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the Sevastopol Youth Affairs Department Marina Slonchenko.
The World Youth Festival is the largest youth event in the world. More than 5,000 volunteers will work at the Sirius site in 15 functional areas.
The World Youth Festival is a landmark event for our state. My family remembered well the large-scale holding of the first two events, and I took great pleasure in learning how our country prepared for the event. Having learned about the opportunity to be part of the festival, I immediately submitted an application. To be not a spectator, but a volunteer is to make the event at the highest level, to show foreign participants the breadth of the Russian soul and hospitality, to contribute to the development of youth and volunteerism. Now, on the way to the city of Sochi, I am looking forward to pleasant meetings and good weather. I can’t wait to get to know my functional team better and start fulfilling my responsibilities. I think I won’t want to leave, but I will definitely take with me valuable experience, acquaintances and vivid impressions. I am sure that the World Youth Festival will be remembered by absolutely everyone, and we will carry the most trembling moments through the years, inspiring future generations,” said festival volunteer Ksenia Shtilik.
The World Youth Festival will bring together 20,000 Russian and foreign young leaders in business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteerism and charity, sports, various spheres of public life, as well as teenagers representing various children’s organizations and associations.
