Negotiations on the interaction of the two regions began in early 2023. Directions for interaction in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural spheres were outlined. Further strengthening of ties will facilitate interaction between the relevant authorities and departments of the regions in specific areas of cooperation.

As part of the agreement that we are signing today, we intend to continue our partnership with Sevastopol on a wide range of issues. Interested in the development of the economy, industrial cooperation, transport links. We are ready to share and exchange experience in attracting investments. Business support institutions operate effectively in our region. The work of centers to support import substitution and foreign economic activity has been established. We are successfully adapting to new conditions, reducing dependence on foreign goods. I am sure that we will be able to find common points of growth and mutually beneficial partnership in many areas— says the governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha.

The agreement will also allow the exchange of experience in implementing the best regional and municipal practices and initiatives that contribute to the implementation of national goals and improving the quality of life in the regions, as well as expanding cooperation between enterprises of the Kaluga Region and the city of Sevastopol.
