This year for the first time in Sevastopol will be held the stage of the international high-diving festival «Wings of the World». High diving — jumping from extreme heights, this sport is considered one of the most dangerous in the water world championship program.
In Sevastopol, a unique 27-meter structure on a floating crane will be installed at the CSKA berth for the stage of the international festival. Competitions will be held 12 July as part of the celebration of the Day of the Navy in the Hero City.
It is a great honor for Sevastopol to host international competitions. I am sure that the high diving festival will be held at the highest level and the strongest will be determined during the competition. I hope that the maximum number of Sevastopol residents will be able to watch such exciting and interesting competitions. The International High Diving Festival actually confirms the principle that sport should be out of politics , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The participants in the competitions in Sevastopol will be 12 the strongest athletes in the world — these are Artem Silchenko (Russia), Blake Aldridge (Great Britain), Miguel Garcia (Colombia) and other.
