Sevastopol will host international sports programming competitions

It is a great honor for us to host competitions of this level on the territory of the Hero City of Sevastopol. The event will be held under the patronage of the curator of our region, First Deputy Minister of Sports Odes Khasaevich Baysultanov. Thanks to him, the festival is held here in Sevastopol. Over the course of three days, athletes will have to compete in the “product programming” discipline — one of the dynamically developing sports in our country.– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the sports department Sergei Reznichenko.

Competition in the discipline “product programming” — hackathon. More than 100 athletes from five countries will take part in it: Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, South Ossetia and Kyrgyzstan. Participants aged 14 to 25 years will compete for the main prize of 400,000 rubles.

Over the course of three days, athletes will have to solve a special case from the T1 company, a leading representative of the IT industry. Participants will work to create functional products that can solve real-world problems. The results will be assessed by an expert jury of industry representatives. Participants will receive not only feedback, but also support from IT community professionals. The total prize fund of the festival will be 1,800,000 rubles, with the first ten winners receiving cash awards.

A product programming hackathon will allow participants to show their creativity, learn to work in a team, apply knowledge in practice, and find new perspectives for the development of their projects.

The competition will be held on May 30, May 31 and June 1 at the sports and recreation complex on Taras Shevchenko Street, 62.

The event is being implemented within the framework of the regional project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”.
