Sevastopol Youth Theater will present a performance at the International Festival of National Theaters

From June 1 to 10 in Irkutsk, the III International Festival of National Theaters «Baikal Talisman» will be held. This year, the Sevastopol Theater of the Young Spectator will take part in a large-scale cultural forum, presenting the historical and heroic performance “Suvorov is the science of winning”. The festival organized by the Irkutsk Stanger named after A. Vampilov, with the support of the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives, Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Irkutsk Region, will unite about 400 participants from Armenia, Belarus, China, Mongolia and various regions of Russia. The program includes 20 performances created on the basis of national literature, epic and folklore. This year, patriotism will be an important theme of the festival.

The production of “Suvorov is the science of winning” is included in the cycle “offspring as an example”, which tells young people about the outstanding personalities of Russian history. The performance was staged by the honored artist of the Russian Federation Evgeny Zhuravkin based on the play by Aksinya Normansa. It was based on the story of a teenager, whose grandfather was able to survive during the years of the blockade of Leningrad thanks to A. V. Suvorov’s book “The Science of Win”. Last year, the performance in the video format was presented in the Moscow Suvorov Military Order of Honor to the School of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and was highly appreciated by the cadet community.

Participation in the international festival «Baikal Talisman» is an important stage in the development of the Sevastopol Youth Theater. This is a unique opportunity for the team to exchange experience with leading theaters in Russia and abroad, strengthen creative ties and present the cultural traditions of Sevastopol on the Big Stage.
