Seven out of 10 Crimeans are in favor of closing microfinance organizations
CrimeaPRESS reports:
There are more opponents of the ban on MFOs among those who use their services. The high-paying job search service SuperJob asked city residents whether the activities of microfinance organizations should be banned in Russia. Economically active citizens took part in the survey.
69% of Crimeans were in favor of banning organizations issuing express loans: “There are too many scammers, there is no control over their activities”; “Money should be issued only after serious verification and only by banks.” 6% of respondents are against the liquidation of microfinance organizations. “All citizens of the Russian Federation should have access to finance, regardless of their income”; “Such organizations are very necessary, but it is necessary to conduct an educational program with potential borrowers”; “Microloans can sometimes be the only solution to complex issues,” respondents commented on their position. 25% found it difficult to answer, — noted in the press service of the service.
Respondents over 45 years of age spoke about the need to ban organizations issuing express loans more often than those younger (70%). Among city residents with incomes from 50 to 100 thousand rubles per month, 74% are against the activities of microfinance organizations. Respondents who had to contact microfinance organizations support the idea of closing them less often than those who have never taken express loans (61 and 76%, respectively).
