SevSU Lyceum students are winners of the international competition of scientific and technical creativity “Talents of the 21st Century”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
From September 25 to 30, the best 16 teams from Russia and 8 teams from the Republic of Belarus gathered in Minsk. More than 350 schoolchildren aged 14 to 17 years defended their research and technological projects in the field of technical creativity.
The honor of Sevastopol was defended at the competition by a team of 14 students, seven of them are students of the Lyceum of Sevastopol State University, all of them study in the circles of the Small Academy of Sciences at SevSU.
The absolute winners, the Grand Prix winners of the competition, were Alexey Adonin, a student at the Northern State University Lyceum-Pre-University, and Maxim Babitsky, an 11th grade student at Vitebsk Gymnasium No. 2.
Grand Prix winner Alexey Adonin presented the project “Control of the motion of an elastic object with optimal movement.”
It is devoted to the theory of optimal control, I tried to eliminate vibrations in a non-rigid structure. I specified the initial and final positions, where at the initial moment of time there is no oscillation, and at the final moment of time there is no oscillation. That is, both at the beginning and at the end, absolute peace is achieved. This was the meaning of my work. I proved this both scientifically, that is, by calculations, presenting formulas and graphs, and practically, by creating my own stand, and using it I proved that it works. The seven days of the competition went great, it was very comfortable here, the food was delicious, it was pleasant to live, there were friends nearby, everyone was positive, the team leaders worked well, there were no problems with the organization. Such platforms are very useful, since some people do not have the opportunity to go to conferences, and such events allow not only to present their work, but also to meet similar minds from different countries. In addition to the competition itself, we visited many historical places. As a resident of Sevastopol, I was pleased to see that they still honor history here and devote a lot of time to it. I was convinced that the war had not been forgotten and that much attention was paid to the friendship of peoples here. It was very pleasant, I’m happy with the trip,” the university press service quotes Alexey Adonin.
The award ceremony for the winners took place at the National Children’s Technology Park.
