SevTUZ announces the All-Russian festival of theatrical art for children “Fairytale Kingdom”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Sevastopol Theater for Young Spectators invites all Sevastopol residents to the VIII All-Russian Festival of Theater Arts for Children “Fairytale Kingdom — 2024”.
From June 1 to 7, residents and guests of the city will be able to watch the best performances of professional theaters from Tver, Feodosia, Volgograd, Ryazan, Omsk, Evpatoria, Kaluga, Moscow, Taganrog, Ufa, Almetyevsk and Gorlovka. Young viewers will enjoy a real “theater intensive”, which will become a highlight at the very beginning of the long-awaited summer holidays.
For the eighth year, the Fairytale Kingdom Festival has been one of the hallmarks of the Hero City. This is a big holiday for young Sevastopol residents, an opportunity to watch performances by the best “storytellers” from all over Russia without leaving the city.
The festival also includes an additional program of events: the laboratory of theater studies «Art-Pero» directed by the Ural playwright Anna Bogacheva, a master class from the Moscow director Fyodor Parasyuk, a master class from the head of the Kalabala association, a practical master class with the actress Ryazansky Youth Theater Marina Zalanskaya, an incendiary meeting with Anastasia Vakarchuk, deputy director of the Quantorium children’s technology park.
Thanks to the full support of the Government of Sevastopol, the Department of Culture and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, children from remote areas of the city will be able to watch festival performances for free. Thus, fairy tales will be shown in the Houses of Culture — the village of Vishnevoye, the village of Orlinoe, the village of Ternovka, the village of Verkhnesadovoye, the village of Khmelnitskoye, the Sevastopol choreographic center «Joy», as well as in the city of Inkerman.
This year, the organizers of the Festival will entrust the selection of winners to the Children’s Royal Jury. The judging team included seven active theatergoers aged 6 to 17 years, representatives of the city’s theater organizations, and winners of various competitions. Their mentors will be the artistic director and director of the Festival, as well as the head of the musical department of SevTYUZ.
Over the years of the Fairytale Kingdom festival, Sevastopol residents have met more than 65 theater groups from all over the country who create productions for children and youth in various genres. More than 120 laureates received their well-deserved awards from the hands of the festival jury on the stage of the Sevastopol Theater for Young Spectators. In 2024, the festival bill includes 13 groups.
