SevTUZ invites you to a performance on the day of the complete liberation of Leningrad
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Every year on January 27, our country celebrates the Day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade (1944). The heroic defense of the city on the Neva lasted 872 days. German troops failed to enter the city and break the resistance and spirit of its defenders. The Battle of Leningrad has become a symbol of the courage and dedication of the city’s defenders.
On January 27 at 18:30 on the stage of the theater there will be a performance about the founder of Russian military theory, who made a huge contribution to the annexation of Crimea to Russia — “Suvorov — the science of winning”, 10+. Alexander Suvorov was a personality of exceptional magnitude. He managed to overcome time — and he himself, his ideas have continued to germinate in generations of Russian people for several centuries. This is exactly what SevTUZ talks about in the play. Each of us knows about Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov. The ordinary Sevastopol guy Sanka also knew about the great commander. Only since childhood I could not understand why Suvorov was called his grandfather, who never fought and built bridges all his life. With a simple question, a fascinating and exciting journey through time began for Sanka: from Sevastopol of the 18th century to Leningrad of the 20th century, from Peterhof of the Elizabethan era to the parade ground of the Konstantinovsky battery of our days. And Sanka himself (and the audience along with him!) will experience unexpected transformations that will help him not only learn his grandfather’s secret, but find his calling and comprehend one of the most important sciences — the science of winning— note the press service of SevTYUZ.
Interesting fact: during the war, the monument to Suvorov in Leningrad was not camouflaged. People believed that as long as the statue of the great commander was intact, the enemy would not be in the city. The troops leaving for the front saluted the monument to Suvorov. This historical fact was carefully transferred to the theater stage by the production director, Honored Artist of Russia Evgeny Zhuravkin.
Before the start of the performance this evening, poems about the siege of Leningrad will be performed by students of the TBM Theater Studio. After watching the production together with the audience, we want to discuss what we saw. The moderator of the meeting and curator of the historical and patriotic project “For Posterity as an Example,” Honored Worker of Culture of the City of Sevastopol, Yulia Pimkina, will listen to everyone who wants to express their opinion about what they saw. Viewers will also be able to ask questions to the artists.
