The story is this: a 27-year-old girl was planning to leave the city for a few days and asked her 23-year-old friend to periodically feed the cats living in her apartment.
Taking advantage of the absence of the owner of the home, the young man searched the apartment and, finding a ring with a precious stone in one of the rooms, secretly stole it. He later sold the criminal loot to a thrift store, and used the proceeds to pay off loan obligations and buy food. Officers of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leninsky district detained the attacker, and the investigative department opened a criminal case against him under paragraph “c” of part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.
