Shields with information about air temperature and roadway will appear in the Crimea

In the Crimea, the roads will appear electronic board with data on the temperature of the air and the roadway, as well as the thickness of the snow cover and the presence of reagents. Information will be displayed from the weather stations. According to Oleinichenko, today the Crimeavtodor has eight meteorological stations that collect all the necessary information about the weather in specific places.

They read the temperature not only of air, but also of the road surface, and the soil under it. Also, information about the thickness of the snow cover is received from the weather stations, the presence of reagents on the road and about a number of other parameters that are important for both road workers and drivers, Oleinichenko said.

And not only in those places where snow traditionally outlines a lot.

In winter, the most dangerous time is the transition from the plus to minus, that is, through zero. This is especially dangerous for artificial structures, such as bridge transitions, interchanges. Because under them there is no land embankment, there is nothing to warm up with the road surface. And it is instantly freezing. So the temperature of the coating here corresponds to the air temperature. If air is -1, then on the coating -1— said the specialist.

That is why, first of all, the road workers of Crimea process artificial structures with anti -icing agents, and only then the roads that have a “warming” land, he added.

According to Oleinichenko, the most important information from the weather stations can soon become accessible not only by Krymavtodor specialists, but also to everyone who uses Crimean roads in any weather.

The relevant information will be displayed on the additionally installed equipment of each of the meteorological stations — roadside lights, they are already agreeing on their installation, Oleinichenko said.

Last week, the customer and I talked. And if everything succeeds, then such shields will also appear on our roads, perhaps in the near future, ”said Oleinichenko.

The representative of Krymavtodor clarified that to combat ice, Crimean roads sprinkle local, Crimean salt.

This is our main reagent. From one Saksky career, everything is taken. We use either pure salt or a sand -sized mixture — sand with salt, when private temperature surges occur and it is necessary to add additional roughness to the coating. Plus, we use brine: we interfere with salt with water, heat and process road surface. This favorably affects cleanliness— notes the expert.
