The crews of the ships of the Black Sea Fleet carried out artillery firing at air and sea targets as part of a planned exercise conducted with the ship forces of the fleet in the Black Sea.
Combat crews of the naval strike group of the fleet, consisting of the frigate «Admiral Essen», the patrol ship «Ladny», missile boats «Naberezhnye Chelny» and «R- 60» worked out the actions of conducting a sea battle by performing live firing at targets imitating ships and means of air attack of a mock enemy.
Also, artillery firing was carried out at floating mines and air targets, which were simulated by the release of luminous bombs SAB-250 from aircraft of the Naval Aviation and Air Defense of the Black Sea Fleet , — reports the press service of the Southern Military District.
In addition, the crews of the mine-sweeping ships of the Black Sea Fleet continued to carry out control and reconnaissance searches for mines in the areas of dispersal of the forces of the fleet, to practice training grenade throwing and transmission of signals by lighting communications.
In total, more than 20 warships were involved in the planned exercises of the fleet as part of heterogeneous groups, shipborne strike and search-strike groups, as well as a detachment of landing ships.
