The crews of the frigates «Admiral Makarov» and «Admiral Essen» of the Black Sea Fleet, as part of a tactical exercise, worked out joint tasks as part of a ship strike group in sea ranges in the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
At the first stage of the exercise, the crews of the frigates performed group artillery firing at sea and air targets, as well as at visible and invisible coastal targets. At the second stage of the exercises, they worked out a joint search and destruction of submarines of a mock enemy in a given area, and the organization of counteraction to underwater sabotage forces and means with the implementation of prophylactic grenade throwing. The exercise was held in accordance with the plan for combat training of the fleet forces for the summer training periodthe message says.
It should be noted that the crews of the Vyshny Volochek small missile ship and the R-60 missile boat of the Black Sea Fleet also worked out the actions as part of a ship group.
