Simferopol Airport — as soon as there is an order of the President of the Russian Federation, he will resume work
Krympress reports:
The International Airport of Simferopol is ready to resume work immediately after receiving the relevant order from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov following a meeting with the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Yarov.
Upon receipt of an appropriate order from President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, they are ready to immediately launch the work of the airport-wrote the head of the republic in his Telegram channel.
According to Aksenov, despite the temporary closure of the Air Harbor of Crimea for security reasons, all the necessary work on its content is carried out at the airport. Employees regularly improve their qualifications, practicing at other country’s airports.
The head of the region emphasized that aviation remains for Crimea the main mode of transport, without which the republic loses a certain share of tourists.
The Federal Air Transport Agency suspended the work of 11 airports in the south of the country on February 24, 2022 due to the complication of the situation in Ukraine. Airlines were recommended to organize passenger transportation on alternative routes using Sochi, Volgograd, Mineral Water, Stavropol and Moscow airports.
To date, the airports of Anapa, Gelendzhik, Rostov-on-Don, Bryansk, Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, Simferopol and Elista are not working.
