Events are being held in Simferopol today in honor of the tenth anniversary of the 2014 Crimean referendum and the Reunification of Crimea with Russia.
In the morning, flowers were laid at the monument to the “People’s Militia of All Times”, as well as to the monument to “Polite People”. During the ceremony, the national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea were performed by the orchestra of military unit 6917 of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, an exhibition of photographs and drawings dedicated to the Crimean Spring was organized in the hall of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, thanks to the decisions and support of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2014, the dream of several generations of Crimean residents came true. It became an expression of the will of the overwhelming majority of Russian residents and the salvation of Crimea from the Kyiv regime.
The ceremonial events were attended by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Kirill Stepanov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, Honorary Consul of Nicaragua in the Republic of Crimea, Hero of Russia Oleg Belaventsev, senators from the Republic of Crimea Sergei Tsekov and Olga Kovitidi, Head of the Crimean Metropolis, His Eminence Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea Hadji Emirali Ablaev, heads of law enforcement agencies, social activists.
