Simferopol District Court arrested a truck on which trees sawn in the forest were illegally exported

On April 3, 2025, the Simferopol district court of the Republic of Crimea, as part of a preliminary investigation in the criminal case, adopted a measure of procedural coercion in the form of an arrest on the GAZ 6605 truck.

The preliminary investigation established that in September 2024, a citizen of L., without permits for wood harvesting, carried out illegal cutting of forest stands in the territory of protective forests in the Simferopol district. In total, they were cut 497 raw-growing trees of the breed: “oak”, “grab”, “mountain ash”, “pear” and 1 shrub of the Kizil breed, than the Crimea of ​​the Republic of Crimea “North-Western United Forestry”, the damage of about 46 million rubles was caused. The offender of the Forest Code of the Russian Federation carried out the export of sawed forest plantations in the GAZ 6605 cargo car.

Having examined the materials provided by the investigation, the court came to the conclusion that the grounds for resolving the arrest of this truck. The specified measure of procedural coercion is due to the need to ensure the execution of a court decision in this criminal case in terms of a civil lawsuit, as well as other property penalties.

The court ruling comes into force after 15 days from the date of its adoption, if it was not appealed by the parties within the specified period.
