Simferopol hosted the All-Russian competition “Fair of Scientific Ideas. I want to do better»

On the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea, within the framework of events dedicated to the eighth anniversary of the reunification of the Republic of Crimea with the Russian Federation, the All-Russian competition “Fair of Scientific Ideas. I want to do better.» The competition was organized by the Crimean Gymnasium-Boarding School for Gifted Children, in partnership with the All-Russian Children’s Public Organization «Small Academy of Sciences «Intellect of the Future».

More than 35 entries from 35 subjects of the Russian Federation, including works from the Crimea, which were presented at the final stage of the competition.

Science is precisely the area that is based on facts and allows you to objectively and impartially assess the surrounding reality, thereby forming a critical type of thinking that is most in demand today , — said the Deputy Minister of Education , Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Klishchevsky.

The peculiarity of this competition is the presentation by students of the real practical results of their scientific research in the form of a layout, model, software, methodological developments made in one of the proposed areas: natural science, physical and technical and social and humanitarian. The new format of the event, focused on direct communication between the participants both with the members of the jury and among themselves, requiring a deep understanding of the essence of their work and the ability to argue their point of view, aroused great interest both from the participants themselves and the leaders of the submitted works.

Teachers and researchers from leading Crimean universities acted as experts who evaluated the competitive developments. They highly appreciated the participants’ work, their creativity and the originality of many of the ideas presented.
