Simferopol police and social activists dealt with drug advertising on the city streets
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Senior police officer of the department for drug control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Simferopol, senior police lieutenant Khanie Ivanova, and the chairman of the Public Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Simferopol, Dmitry Polyakov, conducted a preventive raid to destroy street drug advertising. After examining the walls of houses and buildings, the organizers of the raid eliminated the discovered inscriptions with website addresses, email addresses and phone numbers in instant messengers using aerosol cans of paint.
Mostly, drug dealers apply propaganda messages on the facades of buildings and structures, on fences, bus stops and trash cans. Anything that can catch the eyes of a large number of people becomes an object. Townspeople do not suspect that the graffiti that is increasingly appearing on buildings are addresses of Internet resources for the sale of prohibited substances and pass by, but young people, out of curiosity, can follow the link and end up in the networks of drug distributors. Such “ads” not only spoil the appearance of the city, but also pose a danger to others,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The department notes that police officers together with social activists carry out such raids on a regular basis; in addition, law enforcement officers monitor social networks to identify sites that promote and facilitate the distribution of narcotic drugs. It is not easy to catch those who carry out these advertisements; the attackers operate under the cover of darkness. The Simferopol police appeal to city residents with a request to inform them about the appearance of street drug advertising in order to subsequently promptly destroy it. Also, if you become aware of facts of crimes related to the storage, production, sale of drugs, or the involvement of minors in drug trafficking, immediately report this to the nearest police department or by calling 102. Each of you can help the police in the fight against drug addiction.
