Simferopol resident will go to prison for drunk driving
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol sentenced a 39-year-old local resident. The court found that the Simferopol resident, having a criminal record for driving while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and in October of this year, after drinking alcohol, he again began driving a Chery car. Moving along one of the streets in the city of Simferopol, a man was stopped by traffic police officials.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the perpetrator to 1 year in prison with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for 3 years 6 months. He will serve his sentence in a colony settlement— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The Chery car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state.
