Four teams took part in the competition: Terminal (Lenino), Detonator (Sevastopol), Triad-SOAK (Simferopol) and Sugdeya (Sudak). According to the draw, semi-final pairs were formed, the winners of which played in the final, and the losers played a match for 3-4 places.
In the first semi-final, Detonator and Terminal did not reveal the strongest team in regular time – 2:2, but in the series of post-match penalties, the football players from the Leninsky district turned out to be more accurate – 5:4.
In the second semi-final, Triad-SOAK beat the tournament hosts, Sugdeya, with a score of 9:4.
In the duel for third place, Detonator and Sugdeya met. Led by playing coach Maxim Fedorov, the Sevastopol team lost to Sudak in an uncompromising fight – 3:6. Sugdeya (coach – Evgeny Kazansky) is the winner of the tournament’s bronze medals.
The final saw rivals of equal class meet – Triad-SOAK and Terminal (reinforced by five players from Gvardia, last year’s winner of the first youth festival and the RK Head of the Republic Cup in beach soccer).
Simferopol players, thanks to the efforts of Denis Dovgalenko, Egor Yakovenko and Vadim Grishin, took the lead in the first half – 3:0. But after a short rest, Lenin players, thanks to two effective strikes by Alexander Laiko, reduced the gap to a minimum. Everything was decided in the final, third half, at the beginning of which the Triad players scored three goals (Marlen Khalilov scored twice, Djivan Gevorgyan once), to which the opponent responded with a double by Asan Muslimov, and a long-range strike by Simferopol player Roman Korshkov a minute before the final whistle set the final score – 7:4. Triad-SOAK (coach – Vladimir Konovalov) became the winner of the Meganom-2024 Opening Cup. Silver medals went to Terminal (coach – Viktor Kisetov).
Based on the results of the tournament, the best football players in the nominations were determined: goalkeeper — Egor Yakovenko (Triad-SOAK), defender — Asan Muslimov (Terminal), forward — Alexander Laiko (Terminal), player — Marlen Khalilov (Triad-SOAK), most useful player — Alexander Sginukhin (Sugdeya), author of the most beautiful goal — Roman Korshkov (Triad-SOAK).
The award ceremony for the winners and prize winners was attended by the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea Olga Torubarova, the First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Gnizdylo, the Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea Sherif Osmanov, and the head of the organizing committee of the beach soccer festival Gennady Sapozhnikov.
