Simferopol school No. 38 was named after Hero of the Russian Federation Vladislav Dorokhin

CrimeaPRESS reports:

As part of the regular 99th session of the Simferopol City Council of the second convocation, the deputy corps supported the issue of naming two educational institutions after outstanding personalities. A decision was made to approve the naming of the municipal budgetary educational institution “Secondary School No. 38” after the Hero of the Russian Federation V. A. Dorokhin.

About the feat of the young hero of the Northern Military District, Hero of Russia — in our selection.

But let us recall the biography of this guy. Vlad was born on September 8, 2000 in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, into the family of a military man. In 2017 he graduated from the Simferopol first gymnasium. Served in the Marine Corps. On May 21, 2022, a reconnaissance group of Marines, in which Vladislav Dorokhin was located, encountered superior enemy forces in the village of Egorovka, Volnovakha district. The armored personnel carrier was hit by artillery fire from neo-Nazi formations. Further from the report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:

Having provided first aid, gunner Dorokhin helped organize the evacuation of his colleagues and cover, drawing fire on himself. In battle he showed courage and valor. After the ammunition was used up, he faked surrender and blew himself up with grenades along with the enemy forces.

Vlad was buried in Simferopol. The Marine was awarded the Order of Courage posthumously. For the courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.

Another decision of the capital authorities: MBOU “Secondary School No. 12” was named after I.P. Kryzhanovsky. Ivan Petrovich worked in this institution and headed it for 20 years:

From the first day of the Great Patriotic War, Ivan Petrovich Kryzhanovsky was a platoon commander, holding back the Nazi advance on the western borders of our Motherland. Returning to Simferopol, he was offered to head an educational institution. For 20 years he led it impeccably.

Since 1963, Ivan Petrovich began large-scale construction of new school buildings. Thus, a right two-story wing with a sports complex, a military training room with a weapons room and a shooting range, and a left three-story wing with a dining room, an assembly hall, a library with a book depository, a museum of military glory, and a medical office were added to the main school building. On the third floor there were physics and astronomy classrooms with a telescope for observing the starry sky. In the mid-70s, the school was transformed, becoming, under the leadership and personal participation of the front-line director, one of the best in the city and region.

Kryzhanovsky I.P. was actively involved in social work. Instructor of the Simferopol City Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, promoter of the region, deputy of the 3rd convocation of the Kyiv District Council of Simferopol, deputy of the 4th convocation of the Simferopol City Council, permanent chairman of the city society for the protection of nature for 12 years. Awarded the Certificate of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR— said the administration of Simferopol.
