Simferopol schoolchildren presented an exhibition of Advent calendars

On the basis of the Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library named after I.Ya. Franko opened an exhibition of advent calendars made by Simferopol schoolchildren.
An Advent calendar is a calendar of waiting for Christmas, New Year, a calendar of waiting for a miracle. The “Advent Calendar Parade” competition was first held in Simferopol eight years ago. Schoolchildren tried their hand at making Advent calendars, and since 2017, the children have been photographing or filming the story of its creation in order to participate in the municipal competition “Advent Calendar Parade.” This year, 240 schoolchildren took part in the municipal competition “Advent Calendar Parade”; more than 170 individual and collective works were submitted to the competition— said the administration of the Crimean capital.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the exhibition. This year at the exhibition you can see more than 50 works made in different techniques, from all kinds of unusual materials.
At the opening of the exhibition, the guys presented their advent calendars and said that working on them helped them better understand Christmas traditions in other countries, learn new English, German, French words, and also show their imagination.
