The jubilee passenger was determined by the railway carrier’s computer program. The buyer of the lucky ticket received gifts and surprises from the Grand Service Express company.
On the platform of the station, the fifteen millionth passenger was met by representatives of the railway carrier Crimean Railway, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, as well as members of the youth all-Russian public organization «Russian Student Teams» (RSO) with flags, balloons and songs to the guitar. RSO is one of the partners of the transport company «Grand Service Express». During the summer holidays, students join the team of the railway carrier, working as conductors of the «Tavria» trains. The train crew of train No. 425, which brought the fifteen millionth passenger, also includes representatives of the conductors of the Russian Student Teams.
Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Ganzii noted:
More than 2 million tourists have already arrived in Crimea in the first half of 2024. These are good indicators, despite certain difficulties with logistics. It is pleasant to see that the company «Grand Service Express» makes a significant contribution to the development of the tourism industry, providing transport accessibility for all those wishing to relax in Crimea, throughout more than 4 years.
Head of the Department of the separate division «Crimea» of JSC TC «Grand Service Express» Albert Sadretdinov added:
With the current dynamics of transportation, in 2024, Grand Service Express will be able to transport more than 4.2 million passengers. Achievements in this area have become possible thanks to the involvement of young personnel, including members of Russian student brigades working as conductors of passenger cars. Since 2020, thanks to our partnership with the RSO, we have attracted more than 300 students from Crimea and Sevastopol to work as conductors.
The commander of the Crimean regional branch of the MOOO «RSO» Vladimir Kaidansky emphasized:
The direction of student conductor teams is one of the most popular in the sphere of labor activity of the RSO. Over the past four years, the number of conductors in Crimea has grown from 40 to 200 people. Working in the company «Grand Service Express» students receive not only good earnings, but also the opportunity to see almost the entire country. We are confident that the number of fighters of student conductor teams of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol will continue to grow.
