Since 2014, Crimea has purchased more than a thousand buses and 138 trolleybuses
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Thus, the official pages of the Head of Crimea on social networks continue to receive complaints from citizens about the operation of public transport. The most pressing issues remain non-compliance with the schedule, the inability to leave in the evening, and an insufficient number of flights.
As Sergei Aksyonov emphasized, the problem is systemic, and the approach to solving it must also be systemic.
One of the key tasks is updating the passenger transport fleet. Over the past decade, a lot has been done in this direction. Since 2014, more than 1,000 buses and 138 trolleybuses have been purchased, which has made it possible to supply modern buses, including on unprofitable routessaid the Head of the Republic.
In general, in Crimea, 2,385 buses and 241 trolleybuses are used to provide transport services to the population on regular transport routes.
At the same time, the age of at least 85% of all rolling stock should not exceed 10 years. We have not yet achieved such an indicator. We will continue to update our vehicle fleet. It is clear that this, like the maintenance of existing rolling stock, requires constant financial investments in significant amountssays the Head of Crimea.
It is also important that the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Crimeatrolleybus” serves about 46% of all routes within populated areas, and on a significant part of the routes services are provided by private carriers.
Hence the second key task is to work more actively with carriers and continue to restore order in this area, – emphasizes the Head of the Republic.
Sergei Aksyonov added that other serious problems include a shortage of drivers, which requires taking certain measures to attract people and increase the prestige of the profession.
I repeat, a systematic approach is required, plus persistence and consistency in achieving your goals. Then there will definitely be a positive result, – concluded the Head of Crimea.
