A special fire regime has been introduced in Sevastopol. The corresponding resolution is published on the website of the city government.

Additional fire safety requirements have been established. In the forest areas, an enhanced duty regime begins, mobile groups of the Russian Emergencies Ministry patrol areas that are especially dangerous in terms of fire. It is important to note that the restriction of entry into the territory of forests is also beginning to operate. With a high class of fire danger, visiting forest areas is prohibited , — noted in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.

Do not confuse two concepts — “special fire regime” and “fire season”.

253 The fire season for a particular region is the period from the moment the snow cover melts (and in Sevastopol — rather from the moment the beginning of abundant spring flowering) until the onset of stable cool weather with sufficient rainfall (in our country this is usually the end of autumn — the beginning of winter).

A special 253 fire regime is a set of measures aimed at minimizing the risk of fires in forests and other natural areas. It is announced in conditions of high fire hazard due to a number of weather and climatic factors (high solar activity, high air temperature, complete absence or low rainfall).

The fire season in 101 began in April. Special measures for the prevention of natural fires are introduced 11 July.

— do not burn grass, do not make fires, do not use barbecue facilities in the forest and near natural areas;

— do not leave rubbish in the forest, especially cleaning materials soaked in oil, gasoline or other combustible material, glass bottles and glass fragments — they can act as lenses, provoking ignition;

— instill in children knowledge about fire safety rules, talk about the dangers of playing with fire in nature;

In the fire zone:

— if you find yourself in a fire zone, first soberly assess the situation — is it worth extinguishing it on your own or is it better to urgently go for help so as not to waste time and prevent the fire from spreading;

— if there is a body of water or a puddle nearby, take a dip in the water. Or at least dampen your clothes with water and breathe through the wet handkerchief;

— crouching, run to the windward side and, if possible, parallel to the front of the fire.
