Since the beginning of spring, 23 thousand flowers have been planted in Simferopol parks
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Next up is the planting of the South American gazania.
Work on landscaping the city continues in Simferopol. In the park named after Yuri Gagarin, employees of the municipal budgetary cultural institution “Capital Parks” are planting flowers again. This time – 2,500 gazania flowers. These unpretentious South American plants will decorate flower beds near attractions.
Gazania is native to South America. This flower is a “relative” of the well-known asters. Various species and varieties of gazania are widely grown as an ornamental plant due to the bright colors of large flowers that appear from early summer until late autumn. The culture prefers a sunny location and is resistant to dry conditions and poor soils.
Gazania is not picky about weather conditions and is not difficult to care for. It will delight visitors to the Yuri Gagarin Park until the beginning of autumn. We carry out this work as part of the spring-summer landscaping of parks and squares— said the specialists of “Capital Parks”.
In total, about 23,000 flowers have been planted in the parks of the Crimean capital since the beginning of spring.
