Since the beginning of the year, Crimean mine rescuers have saved almost a hundred people
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Crimean authorities have calculated that 60 million tourists have visited the peninsula over the past 9 years. Since the beginning of this year, the tourist flow has reached almost 4 million people. As noted by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, with the increase in the number of vacationers, the number of incidents in mountainous and forest areas also increases. Since the beginning of the year alone, units of the mountain search and rescue unit of the Specialized Detachment have carried out 91 search and rescue operations, 98 people were rescued, of which 11 were children.
Most often, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations had to rescue tourists at Cape Alchak, Mount Sokol and Boyko, the Golitsyn trail, the Grand Canyon, Dolgorukovskaya and Karabi-yayla, and the lower plateau of Mount Chatyr-Dag.
The main causes of incidents were tourists’ overconfidence in their own abilities and underestimation of landscape conditions.
It is important to remember that for unprepared tourists the Crimean trails can carry a lot of dangers. That is why rescuers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations remind you of the need to register tourist groups in advance. This year, 114 of them have already been registered in Crimea.noted the emergency department.
According to current legislation, tourist groups must inform the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry 10 working days before the start of their trip. When submitting an online application for registration, you must indicate the composition and number of participants, leaders, contact numbers, detailed information about the route, etc. This can be done on the website of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea by going to link.
