Six Crimean projects are winners of the “Route of the Year 2024” tourism award
CrimeaPRESS reports:
This year, 12 Crimean projects took part in the final of the All-Russian Tourism Award “Route of the Year,” 10 of which are dedicated to the excursion opportunities of Old Crimea, a small but rather colorful city located in the eastern part of the peninsula. As a result, two highest awards and three prizes in different categories went to five Old Crimean tourist routes. Their author is a native Old Crimean, tour guide, head of the Museum of History and Archeology (Old Crimea) Irina Yasenkova.
Thus, the jury awarded two Grand Prixes to the excursions “In the footsteps of Alexander Greene to Koktebel” (nomination – “Best route for hiking tourism”) and “Literary heritage of the Old Crimea” (nomination – “Best route for the elderly”).
As Irina Yasenkova said, the uniqueness of the first excursion is that participants overcome the 22-kilometer Grinovskaya trail leading from Old Crimea to Koktebel, and along the way listen to the life story of the famous writer. As for the second excursion, which also received the highest award, it starts from the graves of Alexander Green, Grigory Petnikov, Yulia Drunina, and then leads to memorable places and houses associated with the literary heritage of the city.
In addition, our Museum of History and Archeology was awarded first place for the best museum route — “Solkhat-Crimea on the Silk Road”. What is he? First, excursionists visit the museum itself, where, so to speak, they study the theoretical part, and then go to the medieval streets to get acquainted with the objects live, to feel the whole historical spirit of the city,” the winner shared.
In the nomination “Best excursion in the city”, second place was taken by her brainchild “Old Crimea — the first capital of the Crimean Khanate”, and an honorary “bronze” in the nomination “Best event tour” was taken by the creative festival “Greenland”, which annually gathers in the Old Crimean house-museum of Green bards, writers, poets, theater and film artists.
In addition, choosing the best children’s routes, the award experts awarded first place to “Young Forester’s Day” — this is one of the excursions in the series of career guidance excursion programs “Live Lessons from the Innotorika Center”. An unusual tour with a trip to the forest, based on games and interactive activities, was developed by Alena Mironyuk from Simferopol. According to her, children will learn to navigate in the forest, recognize the voices of birds, see tracks of animals, learn how to distinguish edible berries and mushrooms from poisonous ones, and also create a herbarium, try real porridge “from an ax” and play forest games.
