Six “Growth Point” centers opened in Sevastopol rural schools in the new academic year

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Educational centers “Growth Point” are created thanks to the federal project “Modern School” of the national project “Education”. They make it possible to improve the quality of education and expand the capabilities of schoolchildren in grades 5-11 in mastering both academic subjects and additional education programs.

“Growth Points” are available for children from grades 5 to 11, but teachers say that they are also of interest to kids: seeing new microscopes and experimental samples, children are eager to join science clubs and want to quickly grow up to high school to study serious science. “Growth Points” are designed to expand students’ capabilities in mastering physics, chemistry, and biology. They will also help prepare children for passing the Unified State Exam and the Unified State Exam. I am sure that there will be many times more lovers of research, science, projects and innovation — all those who strive to explore the world of modern technologies in Sevastopol schools— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

School No. 36 in Khmelnitsky opened this year after a major overhaul, which was carried out according to the presidential program. Now the technical base here has been strengthened by opening a “Growth Point”.

Of course, we are very glad that such a modern space has appeared in our school, which gives our children the opportunity to learn a lot of new things about science. When children study theory during a lesson, they additionally have the opportunity to see how the whole process occurs in practice. A child who is immersed in science and has a sincere interest in it is likely to connect his life with science,” notes the director of school No. 36, Alexander Savchenko.

For children, we purchased laptops, digital microscopes, educational kits for robotics and programming, robotic manipulators, kits for conducting experiments, digital laboratories in physics, chemistry, biology, neurotechnology, physiology and ecology.

This year we received digital laboratories in biology, ecology, chemistry, physics, kits for preparing for the OGE in physics, chemical glassware and laboratories. Of course, the lessons have become more interesting, because now you can try, touch, conduct experiments and see with your own eyes how chemical processes take place, how to measure pulse, blood pressure, how body temperature changes. As they say, it is better to see and try once than to hear a hundred times. Who knows, maybe within the walls of our school future chemists, physicists, biologists will grow up, who in the future will glorify our countrysays school No. 36 teacher Natalya Khaustova.

Let us remind you that the regional project “Modern School” has been implemented in Sevastopol for the fourth year. In total, there are already 14 “Growth Point” centers operating in Sevastopol as part of the project. In 2021, two “Growth Point” centers were created on the basis of schools No. 46 and No. 47. In 2023, centers were opened in schools No. 13, 17, 20, 52, 55, 59.
