SIZO-1 in Simferopol was visited by the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Crimea Irina Klyueva

In order to check compliance with the rights and legitimate interests of minor suspects and accused pre-trial detention center-1 in Simferopol, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Republic of Crimea, Irina Klyueva, visited.
As part of the visit, a working meeting was held with the management of the pre-trial detention center on issues of interaction and education for teenagers held in the institution. After that, accompanied by the acting head of pre-trial detention center-1 Sergei Geberlein, Irina Klyueva, together with the assistant head of the Federal Penitentiary Service for observance of human rights in the penitentiary system Inessa Shlyakhova, checked the conditions of detention and held conversations with minors, during which they discussed issues of useful employment: studying at school, organizing leisure time . The Ombudsman paid special attention to the quality of legal support in legal proceedings, as well as the state of medical and material support in the institution. During the visit, no complaints were received about the conditions of detention. No violations of current legislation were identified— the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol spoke about the visit.
