The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning about dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena in the Crimea. It will snow on the peninsula on Friday and Saturday.
According to the data of the Crimean Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring in connection with the passage of frontal sections until the end of the day 14 of January, during the day 15 January in the Crimea are expected: snow, sleet, in the southern, central and eastern regions, very heavy precipitation. Wet snow deposition, fog, ice, black ice. Strengthening of the southwest wind with the transition to the northwest wind -20 m/s, gusts 25 – 30 m/s, says the message.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations draws attention to the fact that due to worsening weather conditions, it is predicted: the likelihood of emergencies associated with damage (breakage) of power lines and communication lines, flooding of low-lying areas of adjacent territories, accidents at housing and communal services. Interruptions in traffic, blocking of some sections of roads and an increase in the number of accidents on roads throughout the Republic are also possible.
