The Armyansk prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 31-year-old local resident. He was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
It was established that in December 2022, while at the place of residence of his friend, the defendant drank alcohol. A conflict arose between acquaintances, during which, while intoxicated, the man struck numerous blows to the woman’s chest area. After this, the attacker, using a piece of fabric, squeezed the victim’s neck. The woman died from her injuries. The attacker fled the scene,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
The court, agreeing with the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 8 years in prison to be served in a maximum security penal colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
