Social activists of the Crimean transport police launched historical lectures “The Role of the Individual in the History of the Development of States” in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Public Council under the Crimean Line Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Transport held the start of lectures on historical portrait engraving “The Role of the Individual in the History of the Development of States.” It took place in one of the non-state museums of Sevastopol. The cycle is interesting primarily for those who care about the history of the Fatherland. In addition, those present were presented with a new engraving and its reproduction in the painting “The Cavalry Guard of Alexander’s Time.”
The author of the engraving is Nikolai Semenovich Samokish, Russian and Soviet battle painter, teacher. One of the most famous cultural and artistic figures in the Republic of Crimea. All his life he was devoted to the art of painting and taught it to children. He died before he lived several months before the liberation of Crimea from the Nazis by the troops of the Soviet army. Not only the art school, but also the streets of Crimean cities are named after him.
Pavel Voznyuk, a member of the Public Council under the Crimean Line Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Transport, is a collector of historical engravings. His collection contains original images dating back to the late 18th century. These are images of the greatest Russian people who played a significant role in the formation of Russia — great commanders, emperors and empresses, great public figures and politicians.
In addition to the presentation of the engraving, an additional reason for the lecture was the concluded agreement with the Kuban Cossack State Institute of Food Industry and Business. Soon, part of the exhibition will be exhibited within its walls for lectures among students of this higher educational institution.
Chairman of the Public Council at the Crimean LU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for transport Nikolai Gorbunov noted that in today’s realities, when they are trying to erase the history of our Fatherland from the world history by all means, to deprive the state and people of historical memory and culture, such events are extremely necessary for all Russians.
Everyone present at the exhibition enjoyed listening to Pavel Voznyuk’s stories about little-known historical facts related to the greatest people for the Russian Empire. Those present expressed hope for the continuation of such interesting and educational cooperation with Pavel Voznyuk and the Public Council at the Crimean LU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on transport, and also that the exhibition will soon return to the territory of Crimea— note the press service of the Crimean LU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for transport.
