Social pensions of Sevastopol residents will be indexed by 3.3%

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From April 1, social pensions of Sevastopol residents will be indexed by another 3.3% in addition to the 10% indexation carried out in June 2022.

The amount of indexation is calculated based on the growth rate of the subsistence minimum for pensioners over the past year. Traditionally, the indexation of social pensions is carried out once a year — on April 1. In connection with the inflation rate in the first half of 2022, it was decided to increase a number of social payments in stages in order to support the income of citizens, taking into account rising prices. Thus, for 2022, the indexation of social pensions takes place in two stages — from June 1, 2022 by 10% and from April 1, 2023 — by another 3.3%. The recipients of social pensions include citizens who are not entitled to an insurance pension (for example, who do not have the necessary length of service or insufficient pension coefficients), as well as disabled children, disabled since childhood, those who have lost their breadwinner, and other categories. More than 6.6 thousand people receive social pensions in Sevastopol— reported in the press service of the Department of the SFR in Sevastopol.

Recall that indexing is carried out without a statement. That is, you do not need to apply for recalculation. The Social Fund automatically indexes payments from April 1 and delivers the pension according to the schedule. In April, financing of banks for the payment of pensions will be made on the 4th, 13th and 21st. Post offices will pay/deliver pensions for April 2023 in accordance with the schedule.
