Social support measures for citizens of retirement and pre-retirement age in Simferopol

The administration of the capital of Crimea informs residents about social support measures provided to citizens of retirement and pre-retirement age in accordance with Law of the Republic of Crimea No. 35 ZRK. The head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection, Diana Feratova, spoke about this in more detail.

According to this law, pensioners are considered to be separate categories of citizens entitled to social support measures, including women who have reached the age of 60, men who have reached the age of 65, as well as those who were granted a pension before 2014; citizens of pre-retirement age: women — 55 years old, men — 60 years old; persons born before September 2, 1945, who have the status of “Children of War”; as well as labor veteransnotes Diana Feratova.

Today, older citizens have the right to discounted travel on public transport within the Republic of Crimea. This applies to regular transportation on both urban and suburban routes, including the republic’s railway transport.

To receive benefits, you must submit an appropriate application to the social protection authority, in person or through an MFC branch. After registration, the benefit will be activated. You can use the benefit using a bank card of the Mir payment system, which must be attached to the validator in the vehicle. The benefit is automatically read by the system, and funds are not debited from the card. At the same time, do not forget to have with you the original certificate of entitlement to social support measures.

For categories of citizens born before September 2, 1945 and having the status of “Children of War,” an additional benefit for utility bills is provided in the amount of 25% of the established standards. This measure of social support is provided on the basis of an appropriate application accompanied by documents confirming the status, passport data and personal accounts of resource supplying organizations for further transfer of information about the benefit to public utilities.

In addition, in the Republic of Crimea, labor veterans receive a monthly payment of 500 rubles if they do not have rights to other payments on similar grounds. For example, if a citizen has a disability and the status of a labor veteran, he has the right to choose the most advantageous basis for receiving social assistance. To arrange a monthly cash payment to labor veterans, you should contact the territorial division of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea at your place of residence. Labor veterans are also given the right to discounted travel on public transport.
