Soldiers from South Ossetia participating in the North Ossetia will undergo rehabilitation in Crimea

Upon returning home, participants in the special military operation from South Ossetia will undergo rehabilitation in sanatoriums in Crimea. About it TASS said the Minister of Health and Social Development of the Transcaucasian Republic, Thomas Dzhigkaev.

Earlier, a delegation of South Ossetia led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic Dzambolat Tadtaev visited Crimea, where they took part in the first meeting of the joint working group on the implementation of bilateral agreements. The parties outlined 33 joint events in various areas, the implementation of which is planned in the near future.

During a recent visit to Crimea, we managed to agree with representatives of the peninsula’s Ministry of Health about the possibilities of rehabilitation of fighters from South Ossetia participating in a special military operation in sanatoriums and rehabilitation centers of the Republic of Crimea. We received agreement in principle from our colleagues. Moreover, it was proposed to send about ten people there at the first stage“, Dzhigkaev said, clarifying that South Ossetia and Crimea have many points of contact, and a lot of joint work is expected.

The minister emphasized that rehabilitation is very important for combatants.

This is a matter of their future life. After all, as a rule, these people are some of the best representatives of the nation, with high civic responsibility, many of whom are in the combat zone for a long time. Once they return home, they will need to receive appropriate assistance. The war will certainly affect their physical and psychological health, and if they are not properly rehabilitated, and if we do not use the mistakes that were made after the first Chechen war, Afghanistan, then we may lose the best part of the nationsays Dzhigkaev.

The agency’s interlocutor noted that negotiations on providing South Ossetian citizens with the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation in the appropriate medical centers are also being conducted with representatives of other regions of the Russian Federation.
